Christine Ohlman. I mean... The Scratch Band, The Saturday Night Live band, with the Rebel Montez; a real stalwart and you can see her shopping in Hamden. That's cool.

Her justly famous beehive hairdo makes her easy to spot in a crowd, but you'd notice her anyway once she opened her mouth. One of the area's preeminent female R&B vocalists, Ohlman's blues roots go back to the Scratch Band, a legendary Connecticut combo which yielded several longtime members of TV's Saturday Night Live band. Ohlman also hangs out with smokin' hero Cub Koda. With the dapper, dangerous-looking Rebel Montez (originally just two guys backing up Ohlman, now three), Ohlman plays classy dives around the state. CO&RM have also been busy in the studio, releasing a slick studio CD and a live album within the last three years.
